Prathana Behere made an impression on one and all in the recent Marathi film ‘Coffee Ani Barach Kaahee’. She had begun her career in the movies with the film Jai Maharashtra DhabaBhatinda. Then she went on to make a mark in films like Mitwa and Mr and Mrs. Sadachari. Her performance in Mitwa earned her a number of best actress awards like the Maharashtra State Award, Dadasaheb Phalke Award, MIFTA. She has also won the Fresh Face of the Year award from Sanskruti Kala Darpan and Sahyadri. Star Pravaha Lux Fresh Face of the Year award was also awarded to her.

‘PavitraRishta’, the Hindi tv serial, is what made her get noticed for the first time. Her career in films began only after she was recognized in this serial. The talented actress now has crossed over to a big Hindi film. She will be playing the lead role opposite Sharman Joshi in the Hindi film ‘Wajah Tum Ho’ directed by Vishal Pandya. Vishal has directed hit films like Hate Story 2 and Hate Story 3. The film has been produced by T-Series and the first schedule of the shooting will commence from June.
