Manju Kadam is a fiery, intelligent, confident girl working as a maid in the Deshmukh household. Manju is driven by a dream to rise above her social status. Shaunak Deshmukh offers to groom her with finishing skills and etiquette. Unaware that she is a part of an experiment that Shaunak is conducting to prove a sociological theory, Manju sees this as an opportunity to achieve her dream and accepts it. Shaunak gives her the status of a family member and Manju falls in love with him. But for Shaunak, she is just a tool in his experiment. Manju is heartbroken and furious when the truth is revealed.
